Smile Wind direction jammed auto helm St 50plus

Hi all
The wind direction was corroded and jammed on an auto helm St 50 plus. We undid the vane and lubricated the pivot stem so that it now turned. When reconnected it just showed 2dashes on the digital display and the wind speed was now also not showing. Does this mean it is broken or need re-calibrating.
Appreciate any thoughts.

Dashes means no data received.
Check the cable connections also.
