wind Transducers compatibility with Raymarine

Hi

Does anyone know if I can connect any other wind transducer brands to my ray marine sea talk system and use it with the ST70 pod and c95 display unit?

Thank you for your help and advice

Re: wind Transducers compatibility with Raymarine

is it seatalk or seatalk NG? if NG any nmea 2000 sensor should work with an adapter cable.

if it's seatalk I'm guessing the wind sensor plugs direct to the st70 and then is shared out via seatalk, in which case no.

Some of the guys over on SA Forums are REALLY up to speed on this. To the point where they write their own code, in order to make various accessories & toys, play "nicely" together.
So, if you get stuck, you might try asking around, over there.

Any of the NMEA 2000 will work with you c95 and ST70.

A great deal is going on at Defender.com right now for the older Simrad is20 system. It comes with the B&G wind, dst800 depth, speed and temp transducer and two displays for $599.... the wind transducer alone is typically $495. This will connect to your Seatalk NG input and show all the info on your chartplotter.
