Accessing motor on Beneteau 323

Good morning
Trying to figure out how to remove aft access panels on Beneteau 323. There are two panels that I can wiggle but I cannot get them out. Does anyone know how to remove them?

Thanks

Re: Accessing motor on Beneteau 323

Both wood panels that make up the “shelf” at the aft side of the engine are removable as one large piece. They are held in with large Velcro strips in two planes which is why they are so difficult to remove. If you can get to the edge where the panel meets the false floor and then pull up with all of your might, you’ve got a chance. Otherwise, pull the shelf towards your chest as you kneel on the bed with all of your might. I did this and pulled for what seemed like 15 seconds as hard as I could before the Velcro finally gave way. In doing so; the Velcro’s adhesive gave way from the wood before the Velcro itself separated as it was designed to do. The wood was undamaged.

I never had a problem just pulling it from the top. Maybe its the way the velcro was attached.
