Doesn't necessarily take a 'gun' to be 'properly armed'.

He obviously perused many of the threads here after watching Captain Ron. Isn't the prevailing wisdom to just go for it, cuz "If its gonna happen, it'll happen out there."

I doubt human nature has changed very much in a 1000 years, so am pretty confident that there would have been plenty of folks saying they were crazy, whether from the low odds of success or due to falling off the edge of the world.

My suspicion is that many (most?!) of voyages in craft like these were as much by accident as design or folks fleeing by any means possible.....or by nutters!.......and yer only hear about the successes from those times.

True yet any point in being "properly armed" when only "single handed".
