2016 Edition UKHO For Navigation Charts (Windows)

I just picked up the UK/IBERIA set.

2016 ChartStick- for OpenCPN and others (inc.France) : by VisitMyHarbour [Charts for OpenCPN and other programs] - VisitMyHarbour articles

"Instead of locking the copyright chart content to the hard drive of one or two machines, the charts are on the dongle and locked to it. These ChartSticks are compatible with WINDOWS only, not Mac, Linux, Android, etc

Portable between Windows laptops/desktops (inc Windows 8.1 and 10 Tablets) Use on multiple machines. Charts don't expire.
Subsequent recharges with new editions (if required) are inexpensive, so there's no excuse not to have up-to-date charts.FIRST update in Feb/Mar 2016 is free, other than postage !
Charts work with OpenCPN (free) and PolarNavy (cheap) and now Expedition
Using a USB connection these charts are fast (only marginally slower that a fully installed system)
30 Day no quibble money back guarantee"

Service and communication seems great. Obviously not as good value as the (free) USA charts, but the set I got for £58 inc postage, as they are "For Navigation" doesn't seem too bad a deal.

There's some other chart package options at the page I linked as well.

Hopefully that's of use to some.

Re: 2016 Edition UKHO For Navigation Charts (Windows)

Quick update. Speedy service from VisitMyHarbour, the ChartStick arrived this morning.

I also emailed a question about the portability of the charts (I wasn't 100% sure if they would lock to my computer here, as can happen with some dongles, which would mess up using them with a laptop when at the boat, as I would like to get in the swing with OpenCPN before leaving - but as the charts are locked to the stick, there's full portability, which is nice), and had a very prompt response, which included a reminder reference about the free update.
