anchor alarm on a Mac

Hi,

I like the anchor alarm functionality in OpenCPN, however the audio alarm doesn't sound when my Mac Air is asleep. I did test the alarm audio file and that works.

I also tried Watchdog, but having the same problem with it. So it looks like a setting on the Mac itself. So what would I need to change?

I'm on Opencpn Version 4.8.4 and Mac OS version 10.13.6

Check the Energy Savings settings of macOS. I have set the setting for the computer to Never but for the monitor to something like 10 minutes. While sailing and no shore power available I use a 12 volt charger for my Mac.
