Android radar plugin and missing data on signalK

I installed the derived-data-plugin. It works great now, after setting up the plugin.

Why is it not standard plugin to signalk server?
Now I begin t think what is better, having the plugin or not. I use the plugin, I have full data in ocpn and kip. I do not use, no data in kip but with the following update from Hakan full data in ocpn. will there be conflict between the plugin and opencpn?

No. There's are prioritization logic. If there's data from, in this case, SK it will be used in first hand.

Now in the released Beta2 there should be a logic if only apparent wind is present true wind will be calculated. If you have the possibility to try it by a temporary halt of the SK derived-data-plugin it would be appreciated.

You mean I should install the Beta Version of ocpn? Of course I am happy to help and can try it next weekend.

Good question. It depends of your installation.
If Windows it's easy to install the Beta and if for any reason is not satisfactory you can downgrade again by the 5.8.4 installer.
If Linux OpenPlotter there's no easy way. It's not included in the OCPN installer function.


But.. If it feels unsure in any way just await the release of v5.10.
