backup and restore W-10 o-chartss

I need to do a backup/restore on my Windows 10 laptop. I have some elderly but functional o-charts for Australia... long past the free backup time. Do I need to do anything special to avoid losing them in the backup process?

Jim

Jim

If the "backup/restore" does not act as a re-install of the OS when it should be simply ok.

It will be a new OS. Clean slate job.

In that case this counts as a new system and the license for the former system will not work. Being an expired license it will not be possible to assign a new system to it neither.

BCN, thanks for the reply. As Matt sez (he is the IT guru for Insatiable II when the skipper fails) "bugger".

I guess it is time for some new charts...
