Better touchscreen support. Many more marine apps than in default OpenPlotter image.
Could be interesting if some openplotter apps could be adapted for it. Example openplotter-i2c

Hi MG,

just tried the beta 7. Works very well with a lot of extra including the plugins for OpenCPn.
It is also a 64 bits version. Thanks for the efforts.

The only thing I cannot do is connect an usb stick to put the Oesenc charts on the system.

I’m in US and I do not have oenc charts to test, but I had reports from other users that they do work.

Hi Mgrouch, the Oesenc plugin for ARM64 is allready switched on and works with my Oesenc charts.

The only problem I had was, how to get my Oesenc charts on the system. Usb did not work.

But I have send myself an email with the chartset attached.

You have done a lot of work with all the applications in the image.

Regards,

Bram

Can you try running

sudo apt install libsglock

And see if that fixes the issue with the dongle?

Thanks

No, it is not the working of the dongle. But I cannot get the usb stick working to transfer the Charts to the system.

I have done this by sending an email to myself with the Oesenc charts set attached.

Why the usb stick does not show up when I put this in an usb slot ?

Otherwise all is working very well.

The dongles are recognized in lsusb. The probleem seems to be the authorisation. And if i put in an usb stick, it does not pop-up.

I wouldn't install, that much software in a single install, I would create a dual-boot, with the navigation essentials on one, and everything else on a standard raspbian install.

It is only to show what is possible. You do not have to use everything at once..

XYGrib, SignalK, instrument display MxTommy and off course OpenCPN are very usefull for navigation purposes. NMEA2000 input is also possible.

You can simply remove what you don't like. It is the other way around of removing instead of installing applications.

I like the Synaptic pakket manager for all my needs for installing or removing software.

There are so many applications and plugins. That is sometimes a bit confusing for new users who like to do all things at once, including the Radar plugin.
