Cannot Enable AIS Alarm Sound. Checkbox greyed out

Hello,

I am using OpenCPN 5.6.2 on an openplotter installation and even though I am able to select the AIS Sound and test it successfully, the checkbox to set "Play Sound on AIS Alert" is greyed out and can not be toggled.

I do get a good AIS reception and targets are displayed correctly.

Any Ideas?

It must be enabled under the "Ships" menu.
