Can't delete old tracks 4.2

I tried to delete tracks using route manager (delete all) which causes 4.2 to hang. Also tried to delete tracks using the cursor and say 'yes' to the dialog box but the track is still there. Running Windows 10.

Re: Can't delete old tracks 4.2

I took a screenshot of my OpenCPN data files and there are lotsa copies of navobj.xml. I don't know if this is part of the problem, but they were created at the same time I tried to delete the tracks. Is it ok to simply delete all of the files? I don't want the tracks any longer.

Thanks, Jim Thom

I don't think they are part of the problem, as a workaround you can delete them but it will delete ALL your tracks and waypoints.

On the other hand there's a newly discovered bug with waypoints and tracks in 4.2 which could be related.
Are you using OpenGL?
If not can you try to enable it in Options -> display -> Advanced
Use Accelerated graphics (OpenGL)
And try again to delete a track.

The copies of the navobj.xml are back-ups - several generations of them. To be able to roll back your tracks, marks and routes in case of a crash.
So you can copy them to a safe site to play with whatever you want and later getting your old data back.
