Challenges with the Dashboard plugin

A friend and I have been modifying the measurement system in my boat so that NMEA 0183 sentences can be sent via WiFi to a Windows 10 tablet with OpenCPN with the Dashboard plugin. We have succeeded to get data into the tiny numerical windows of OpenCPN's True Wind dashboard, but have still some challenges:

* The tiny numerical TWA-window shows the correct angular value, but the needle of the analog instrument is not moving, just pointing towards zero.
* The tiny numerical window for TWS shows a value that is approximately half of the TWA value in knots we are sending from my measurement system. We thought that this could be caused by that OpenCPN somehow converts the knots value to meters per second despite that the measurement type in the tiny TWS window shows kts. The NMEA sentence we use for True Wind is: $--MWV, x.x,T,x.x,K,A*hh

Any thoughts?

Re: Challenges with the Dashboard plugin

The MWV sentence uses three units for the wind speed value stated in field number three.
N = knots, K = km/h, M = m/s.
So if you use "K" as the unit the value would be given in km/h. Do you comply to that?
You can change the presented value in Dashboard using "Preferences..." > "Appearance".

Thank you Håkan for the reply.
