Chart probs

Hi all.
Any help would be much appreciated .
I’ve downloaded the paid for opencpn, and plug in, paid for o-charts but having problems getting them onto opencpn list.
It will not accept my o-chart log in details and just gives a error message and cancels the operation?
Message received is...
o-charts shop interface error 3e operation cancelled
I’ve contacted o-charts but not getting much in the way of help, so wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Yes but I get so confused by computer jargon .
They need file log but I cannot locate this anywhere, the manual is for pc not android so no luck there.
The guys at ocharts are trying hard but I do not get what they are asking for? I know it’s me at fault but instructions are not easy to get?
Think I’ll have to use something else

If you do decide to go elsewhere may I suggest Nimble Navigator.. a cheap and easy to use laptop package that has everything loaded into a Memory Stick including the GPS.. no need for a Puck.
As for Android.. not sure if Mike has a program for Android yet but that is a simple fix.. have the Notebook down below with a Wireless connection to your Android in the cockpit.

Wynston, what exactly are they asking for from you? They need that information in order to help. What android device and version? Why don't you just ask them directly? You don't give us enough information to even start to help.
So don't be a helpless victim, be specific and focused and you'll get it figured out.
Off course you could try Navionics or the other program if you meet a wall.

I’m not a helpless victim but appreciate your comments .
I have been emailing back and forth for two days direct with ocharts.
I have supplied all info that has been asked for by them.
We’re at a standstill as they are not able to rectify the issue which is within there system , as a result I posted on here to see if anyone else has had the same issue, I felt it was worth a shot...why not?
I figured that a public forum with many members may offer a solution that myself and ocharts have missed.

Well, we asked for the log file and did not get it.
The system is an Android 5.2, so quite aged and hence difficult to debug.


Finally Wyn will get a refund.

I have an S4 Samsung phone that is currently running OpenCPN using Android 5.0.1 with osenc_pi running on it.

Start OpenCPN. It is slow loading, but when it appears tap the triple bar icon with black background to expand it. Then tap the ? second one down, to open up the help menu. "About" will tell you where the logfile is located. Write that down use your "Files" app to browse/navigate there and send that file to 0-charts.

Thank you that was exactly what I needed, nice simple instructions that I can understand, I’m no good with tech and need it explaining in simplest of terms, something I was not getting, that said I can understand how people like me probably irritate those who are fluent in computer talk!
I really appreciate your input but have decided to try something else....I can see I should have waited.
