Re: Climatology

Rick...
This problem is no mystery and I have it already fixed in WMM code for weeks, you can stop reporting it everywhere - I'm packaging the plugins for Windows right now and the patch will land in my clones of the plugin repositiories during the day.

Re: Climatology

Thanls Pavel. Not to bothet you, but to help...climatology needs its data. Bundle_data set to true, but I think one of the cmake files changed perhaps packaging when compared to sean's version which does bundle. I was trying tp get it working and have not found all the instances yet.

Re: Climatology

Problem re notice in Weather_routing "Not compatible with Climatology" however it does work. Perhaps this is caused by some version checking and changes in Weather_routing and grib_pi versions? --I've seen this often enough now.

Pavel created his own version for the beta test and changed the version to 1.1 which is rejected by weather_routing.

Re: Climatology

Yes peter has that correct. Thanks. I think Pavel was unaware of version checking.

Re: Climatology

In Climatology for OpencPn 4.2 the code marked in red should probably be removed from the language files (with it no translation is shown, without it translation is shown):

#: src/ClimatologyUI.cpp:500
#, c-format
msgid "The wind atlas display shows the percentage of time wind is in each of eight directions as a length of the arrow, or in the case it is over 29% a number is shown.\n\n"
"The barbs indicate wind speed, each barb being 5 knots.\n\n"
"The numbers inside the circle, if blue give percentage of average wind speed as calm (3 knots or less) or in red at least gale force (34 knots and above)."
msgstr ""

Further, the language files in CrowdIn seem to be different/not fitting for the dll of last 1.2 version of Climatology on opencpn.org.

Re: Climatology

I think we should add this information to the documentation.

Re: Climatology

Hi. What would it take to get the Climatology plugin on Android? I used it extensively on Windows. Captain Ian Engelbrecht - Worldwide Yacht Deliveries.

Re: Climatology

Nav and Yachtvalhalla I've finally added this to the docs, via my cell phone! Now next to Sean in P town. He likes the harbor because of fishing & town. Whales rising, night squid fishing with light (Sean rigged led lights last night, hope he got some.) Will be talking with him some more.

I really think users should be donating via paypal to Sean for his good work!

Re: Climatology

I'd be happy to give a donation. Tried to send him a private message but Sean's inbox is full.

Re: Climatology

Sorry, I'll mention his box is full to him. His paypal has a link in all his plugins, under about. It goes to his website where he's written about what he's doing. The paypal is on that url.
Thanks. Rick
