Re: Climatology

Sean, I have on local repos that compiles with the older opencpn.lib and a newer one with the new opencpn.lib that does not compile (has these two errors bbelow.)

Why would that be?
thouught it was forward compatible provided the same wxwidgets!

Re: Weather Routing
Hello Sean D'Epagnier,

Sean D'Epagnier,

I saw that new items are in the language file. For their translation, I need to better understand their meaning:

- in/day
- in/month
- ft/month
- M/years (is it Month/Years ?)
- in/year
- ft/year

Thank by advance.

Re: Climatology

I see that climatology source has already been prepared for appveyor, so it would be nice Sean if you could do whatever needs to be done in order to have this build automatically like WEFAX/WR. Thanks!

Answered on the WR thread:

BTW, I looked into the climatology source and all these are related to precipitation units, so the strings would be :
- pouces/jour
- pouces/mois
- pieds/mois
- mètres/an
- pouces/an
- pieds/an

Re: Climatology

Hum ... Regarding the translation of the items:

French translations pose a small problem. French users probably would not understand the abbreviation "in" to which they are not abbreviated and probably also the abbreviation "ft", even if it is more common in the maritime world.

If we put the French words "pouces" and "pieds", will we have enough place in the Climatology window ?

Probably only english speaking people use them.
Maybe it would be best to just disable imperial units for this language (and others) ?
