cmake -DCFLAGS="-O2 -march=native" ../ : WORKING ??

Hello All,

I try to use these command for building 3.0.0 :

cmake -DCFLAGS="-O2 -march=native" ../

I have a CMAKE Warning:

Manually-specified variable not used by the project:

CFLAGS

Is it obsolete

IMHO, yes, it is.
To my knowledge, appropriate flags for every platform we support are already set in CMakeLists.txt

So

cmake -DPREFIX=/usr ../

or

cmake ../

should be enough.

This perfect if optimisation flag are already set!

Just perhaps its would be nice if this command is comment as "depreciate" in the developper manual.
