Compass fix?

Is there an easy way to plot a compass fix in OCPN? That is, take several hand compass fixes to objects on land and then plot them on the chart displayed in OCPN?

Re: Compass fix?

Use the create route tool and draw the compass bearing. End route. Then draw another route line. A little kludgy but it works.

Re: Compass fix?

Thanks. I had a feeling that was the way it's done.

The reason I asked was while sailing the other day I took compass fixes off of various land objects and wanted to set them on to OpenCPN. The amazing thing was the fixes were so incredibly bad it put me where even I know I wasn't.

I was using a Weems & Plath hand bearing compass.

Remember to account for variation.

Me too. But the LINUX add-on for my compiler cost more than 2000€

Re: Compass fix?

How do you get the GPX icons to show on the tool bar?

In the help directory there are many icons: OpenCPN\doc
GPX icons are from the old 1.3.6 version
