Converting programm from *.csv to *.gpx

.csv is just a file with comma separated values, which could be just about anything.
To convert to a gpx file one must know(or guess) exactly what the different values represent.

I assume that you have a navigation program that exports in the .csv format?
Give more details please, and attach one of your .csv files, with a description of what it contains.

Thank you Thomas for quick answer. This is example of http://dox.bg/files/dw?a=676e36131f csv file whitch i made before with totemplus program. Now I need my files to convert to *.gpx format to use with opencpn.

Thank you for a quick reply. Copy example of my csv file done it on Totemplus. Now I need all them to use with opencpn program

I've been using gps utility converter available here

GPS Utility - Home

it allows you to define what each column is before converting.

The Open Source Gpsbabel over at GPSBabel.org , should handle this as well.

A simple test like this

$ gpsbabel -i CSV -f Downloads/Abu_Dhabi_Nagoya.csv -o gpx -F abu.gpx

Produces a number of waypoints. Note that this can be refined by using options. The documentation is your friend.

A simple Internet search reveals a number of existing tools.
