Crashing on Zoom Windows 8.1

Hi
I am trying to run OpenCPN on a Panasonic Toughbook under Windows 8.1
It consistently crashes with "program unexpectedly stopped" when trying to repeatedly zoom.
I have now installed latest beta which has same issue. But I have been able to send several error reports.
OpenCPN is stable on my desk top running windows 7
I might try running it on another Win 8.1 machine.
I have disabled antivirus and anything else I could find on the toughbook.
I am leaving for the Canaries and the Caribbean very soon and hoping to get a stable platform

Hello,

The 3.22 version is the stable version; even if its functionnality as not as much advanced that the ones in 3.3xx Betas, you can use it with confidence.

Hi Many thanks for that.
I had same issue with 3.2.2 moved to the beta for the error reporting.
Does not do it on Desktop with 8.1
Must be an issue with Toughbook and 8.1
Any ideas?

Are you running with OpenGL? If so might try running without.

Hi Terry
I have tried that too, but still the same problem.
I have pretty much tried disabling everything.
I have PC Plotter running Navionics on the same machine with no problems.
I have also tried running it in Win 7 compatible mode.
Hopefully the guys will pick up the crash reports and have an idea.
Meantime I have the watermaker to fix and genset to service
