Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

changed to source_suffix = ['.rst']
also removed Pygments==2.14
as suggested.

It seems to be building now and completed. The index is not populated but the information is there because if I search on polar speed all the references show and the Table of Contents shows.
https://dashboard-tactics-pi.readthe...?q=polar+speed

From there I can select from the Table of Contents and the text shows, but without the index.

Sorry, I'm probably too dumb, please elaborate on what exactly do you think is wrong.

This is what I see on the homepage:

This is what I see on the index page:

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

Perfect! Yes, now it is working.

Perhaps I had to wait longer?
Thanks so much!

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

Now the Index is working the way I recall it. Perhaps it just takes more time...
https://dashboard-tactics-pi.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Since we lost this documentation once, I'd like to make a backup of sorts.
How difficult is it to create and save to pdf and or epub and just leave those files under my repo /doc directory for example?

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

The documentation was "lost" because the repository was deleted, so putting another copy of it into the same repository, this time yours, solves nothing.

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

Thats a reasonable point. Perhaps we store it somewhere else?

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

In readthedocs in the built project, I found you can use the flyout menu and select PDF, Epub or zipped Html to download to your PC.

I would say not deleting your repository on github is good enough. But do with your time and energy as you please.

A partial save of the original documentation was saved in 2022 at archive.org. I just submitted the current link for saving.

Reading back a few pages, it appears the original author deleted the repository (code, docs, releases, etc). rgleason seems to be trying to recover it at, https://github.com/rgleason/dashboard_tactics_pi. But there are no releases there yet. Although part of the original github repository (link in post #1) was saved by archive.org, the installable packages were not.

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

It has amazing instruments as average wind instrument. Is beautiful the race start plugin to know if you have to start the race into star board or the portboard. There are a lot of things that we can make with signalk and mxtommy kip. But this is the best race plugin that i saw. better than a lot of commercial solutions. I only dont like the race start plugin or I didnīt understand it.

Re: Dashboard-Tactics (Dash T)

Not seeing the laylines extending from the race mark. The lines are there for the boat. I am simulating using ShipDriver.

With the race mark directly upwind the line to the race mark is yellow with laylines on the opposite side of the racemark.

When the race mark relative bearing is less the line is green.

When the race mark relative bearing is greater the line is red.

Am I missing a setting? Is more data needed to calculate the laylines at the mark?

OpenCPN 5.8.4 os Windows 10. DashboardTactics 1.7.62.

Mike
