Display BUG (v5.6)

Hello,

The "Restricted area" is wrongly displayed when using the soENC charts. The screen becomes unreadable.

See attachments comparing the display of the same area using CM93 and soENC charts.

When unchecking the "Restricted area" of the "User Standard" of the "Vector Chart Display" settings the display becomes readable, but the restricted areas are not shown anymore.

Best regards from Belgium...

Pierre on S/Y Thoč

Re: Display BUG (v5.6)

Pierre...
Are you using the most current version of o-charts plugin?

Re: Display BUG (v5.6)

Hi Dave,

No. I was using the plugin version 1.0.5.x (I did not took car of that)

Now I updated it to the last one o-charts 1.0.12.0 using the OpenCPN Plugin manager => The problem remains the same.

I am using OpenCPN v5.6.0 and I hesitate to install v5.6.2 because I am under way... If you thing it could fix the problem and I must update it, I could do it... but at the moment, this bug is not blocking for my sail.

Re: Display BUG (v5.6)

Pierre..
When I, on Windows, update master catalog in plugin manager the actual o-charts version is 1.0.29.0.
What PC-system do you use?

Re: Display BUG (v5.6)

Dave,

I am using Windows 11 on a 3 month old notebook Lenovo.
If I select "Update Plugin Catalog master" I still get o-charts version 1.0.12.0

Re: Display BUG (v5.6)

Pierre,

just tested on a W10 and a W11 system and the o-charts plug-in is 1.0.29

So what happens on that W11 of yours?

Re: Display BUG (v5.6)

Pierre..
Now forgive me if I may get this wrong but did you followed the whole chain to actually update a plugin?
You say: "If I select "Update Plugin Catalog master" I still get o-charts version 1.0.12.0" But there's more to do:
  1. Update Plugin Catalog master
  2. Click OK on the "Catalog update successful" messaging the Internet download was OK.
  3. Scroll down to and select O-charts plugin. Now marked with a Up-arrow.
  4. Select the line including the update version e.g. 1.0.29.0.
  5. Click "Install"
  6. Click OK on the Options window and the o-charts will be redrawn.
  7. If needed try also Options->Charts->Chart files and select "Force full data base rebuild" Click OK and if you have many charts get your self a cup of coffee if appropriate.

Re: Display BUG (v5.6.0) - FIXED by v5.6.2

Hello Dave and Hakan,

I updated the plugin to 1.0.29.0. It did not fix the problem.

Then I updated OpenCPN to 5.6.2 which fixed it.

So it's OK. Thanks for your help
