Drayton to Vancouver

Good day, folks -
I'm planning a day trip from Drayton Harbor in North Washington to Vancouver - to attend the Safety at Sea class in March. Ultimately, back again as well. Would any readers have a source for charts between the two? I've been perusing the Open CPN site and found many US charts - these in particular would be Canadian. I believe charts 3481,3493 and 3491, although those chart identifiers don't seem to show up - at least on my installation of Open CPN.

Thanks for your help!

There are no free Canadian charts available, but you can purchase them. See: Digital charts

Thanks! I kind of thought so as there didn't seem to be any listing in Open CPN. I appreciate the insight!

Re: Drayton to Vancouver

I haven't bought charts for the areas you are inquiring about (I did a long time ago) but charts I have bought further up Vancouver Island are dated 1999 so those might be similiar. It probably will cheaper if you have a tablet, to down load Navionics, think I paid $69 Canadian so it will be a lot less in American currency. The downloaded chart will have been upgraded to the most recent corrections I'm hazarding a guess, the 1999 charts, not so much. And there were some uncharted shoals off of the west side of Bowen Island, don't know it that has been corrected.

I always have a chart open on my dinette table even though using electronic sources, I like the large overview.

Sage advice on the physical chart - yes. I appreciate the input! Will get after it.
