Dumping scale factor

My dashboard data (sog, mag and T compass) refreshing time frame is very hight. Difficult to read the compass while the data are changing every 0,5 sec.
Gps usb garmin 18X
Opencpn last version
Windows os.
Any control box available for increase the dumping?

Slow down your NMEA data stream. It tries to keep up with incoming data. At 4800 baud it’s pretty hard to go that fast. Are you using a network to feed the data?

Still it seems like your data stream is fast. OpenCPN has no mechanism to ignore NMEA messages based on time. You can ignore certain specific messages.

Are you sure that you don’t have multiple sensors sending the same data? That can also lead to strange jumping of dashboard items.

I have, on the same pc, a UBLOX USB GPS, but it not configured in OpenCpn port, it is connected and configured for Winlink software (SSB pactor emulator).
