Free OpenCPN Icons

OK, I have made them all to .doc for storage. All the .xpm icons have transparent backgrounds. I couldn't see how to upload images (they all have black backgrounds as .jpg images). Please all enjoy.

Here's yours as example-not so easy naming them on screen but
not really required since yours are well-named.

Well,well.Apparently,(in XP at least and in the 2.4 xxx betas)you can make a folder named "ownship" or OWNSHIP or I don't know what else!... and put your ownship.xpm in it...and it works.

hmm.makes it easy to replace and find ownship ...

while I'm in the mood...here's a scale ship alongside the previous-the premise being not to overzoom the chart...and,it's to scale in my charts,on my 15 inch display.Note the red dot to left.That'd be a boat to scale alongside the ...roughly 140 metre ship.

I made a bunch of freeware user icons (with organized descriptive names) for OpenCPN in .xpm format. These icons are slightly larger than the normal ones. Hope you like them.

Terrific! The marks in Subic Bay were all replaced when the Philippine government took over the Subic Bay Naval Station. Unfortunately they did not bother reading the IALA regulations so we now have odd numbered buoys with red paint and lights! And they relocated them from where they are shown on current charts. I now have them in their proper position and proper color. Couldn't have done it without these new icons. Thanks.

As an aside: Perhaps I missed a posting but my UserIcons folder isn't under the Program Files/OpenCPN. It's shown on the attached.

I made a bunch of nice ownership icons which I would like to post here on this forum for other members. However, although these icons are in colour, they appear greyscale in my OpenCPN. I first thought that there was something wrong with my icons, so I downloaded a few others in this thread - they also appear grey in OpenCPN. Indeed, when I start OpenCPN with a new ownership icon, the icon colours appear for about 1 second and then becomes greyscale. Why? Or is it just me?

Here are a couple of freeware ownership icons.
The current names used for each icon are as per per image below.
Decide which icon you want to use, then change the icon name to ownership.xpm and paste this into "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\opencpn\UserIcons" folder. If you do not use the "C" drive, change accordingly.

In CMap93, the ownership icon will show true size when fully zoomed in OpenCPN.
