Garbage displayed on Danish sea charts

When displaying Danish sea charts (new o-charts Denmark 2024, downloaded today) and enabling "Restricted Area" in Vector Charts, purple garbage is shown and panning becomes slow. Charts look good if show "Restricted Area" is disabled.

I'm using OpenCPN 5.8.4 on Windows 10, but I as far as I remember, the problem also existed in the previous release of OpenCPN and also with older Danish sea charts. Example below is from Laesö (57° 20'N, 11° 03' E):

Re: Garbage displayed on Danish sea charts

tomas..
I'm using the same charts, updated yesterday, but don't see the same.
I use Display category "All" where Restricted area is included.
I also use the latest o-charts plugin 2.6.0. If you not have updated please try.
I also use OpenGl so please check your settings in Options->Display->Advanced.

Now I'm not on OCPN 5.8.4 but on "alpha" 5.9 i.e. what will soon be 5.10.
I may remember some discussions about you issue last year. I think it was solved by a o-charts plugin update.

Re: Garbage displayed on Danish sea charts

I have the latest o-charts plugin, although it says version 2.0.6.0
You have to zoom in to see it, outzoomed it looks ok (> 1:200 000)

OpenGL is enabled, hardware graphics (with all options enabled). Disabling it results in a crash... Only plain i5-10600K processor with built-in graphics and latest Intel driver.

More thoughts:

I think you use the "Swedish palette". Try to change back to original settings for a test. (Compare my shot). If you didn't saved the original files just reinstall OCPN.

If that's the problem you may try the updated palette from the manual.

Re: Garbage displayed on Danish sea charts

Updating the palette solved the problem! I was using an older version of it since I've been using OpenCPN for quite a long time.

Thanks for very good support!
