GPS Nema input

I wrote a GPS-Input-Simulation for testing purposes.
Like you see in the attached Nema-Debug-Window a Nema0183 string $GPRMC... is sent to OpenCPN over UDP. The colour is black for accepted, but the dashbord doesnt show the send corrdinates and the boot doesnt position.
The same if I send $GPGGA or GPGGL.

I know, that the string dont show the correct Checksum, but therefor I have dissabled the control of the Checksum. There is no other GPS-source conectet to my WIN10 Laptop and its the current OpenCPN.

Can you help me how to overwrite the Position.

Re: GPS Nema input

When you produce your RMC according to the specification test it first to be sure you've coded it correct.

Re: GPS Nema input

Meanwhile, it works!
The reason was the checksum. The checksum was disabled in OpenCPN, but that seems to have no impact.
Now, since the string has the correct Checksum it works.

GPS Nema input

Checksum disabled is not the same thing as no checksum. Checksum disabled means don’t care if checksum is right. But the checksum characters must be present. Make them 00 if you like and disable checksum verification in O.
