I just found this great resource that I wanted to share:

"The main objective of the MyOcean2 project is to deliver and operate a rigorous, robust and sustainable Ocean Monitoring and Forecasting system of the GMES Marine Service (OMF/GMS) to users for all marine applications : maritime safety, marine resources, marine and coastal environment and climate, seasonal and weather forecasting."

MyOcean services are not simply “free”. They are fully "free-of-charge" for users because their costs are covered by the European Commission and member states.

I've added it to the OpenCPN Extras package, if you have any other great links, please share so I can keep this project updated;

If you want to download a copy its really easy, you don't even need a github account, just download and install git then from the command line in the directory you want to receive the download just type:

git clone git://github.com/ktec/opencpn_extras.git

If you want to contribute, just fork the project and then download your own fork. There's no rules, github makes it so easy for us to collaborate and build a great Extras package which should enhance OpenCPN.
