GRIB current missing direction

I have downloaded current gribs from YR.NO and BSH.DE trying to understand the current feature. I can see the current level by the colour, but not the arrows that shall indicate the direction. I have looked for other threads on the issue but has not found anything. When I load a current grib my screen looks like the pic. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I think this is an issue with the stable release 2.5.0. The beta version (2.6.1624) shows the current arrows. the beta version is actually pretty stable, for me...
