Re: Harmonic Files ...

Hi P_Dub, I have followed the instruction to the letter but cannot get the station to show up on O. One problem may be Kuala Lumpur does not exist in either file and all the stations in the area are based upon the master station of Belawan in Sumatra (see screen shot) and even Georgetown in Penang (South of Langkawi) is based on that master station.
Is there a chance please, if you have the time and opportunity, you could massage the file to make it work? I am working with the updated files from Terry Sargent to show the Asia and Indian missing stations. (Cannot send those through).

The local path to the standard ones distributed with OpenCPN you see on Toolbox -> Charts -> Tides & Currents tab. That is also the place where you can add any custom one you wish (which can be anywhere on your machine). If you are interested in the standard data, it is probably even easier to simply download it from https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/t...er/data/tcdata

Thanks Nohal. Yes, I found the files at Opencpn.app/Contents/SharedSupport/tcdata

I am sailing around the Gilbert Islands in Kiribati and are looking for additional tide stations for the area. I see that Navionics has a tide station at Abaiang Atoll that is not shown on OpenCPN, but I don't know how to get this data into OpenCPN - any tips?

On a related matter, I have OpenCPN preferences set to meters. However, The Tarawa tide station shows in feet. Most other tide stations show correctly in meters. Do you know how I can fix this?

Thanks!

I would be happy to edit the file if I knew what factors to apply at each station to change from Feet to Meters. Seems that it is not as simple as multiplying feet by 0.3048 to get meters.
