Re: harmonics data for current off by 1.5hours for my spot

I use a station to Providence channel, wish seems to me to be more approriate that the one they used. I have reduce the number of constituents from 173 to 67. There is no need to use a bunch of zero (zero X zero=0). Here is the list with 173. removed the.doc and unzip. Also add the part in .idx file.

Re: harmonics data for current off by 1.5hours for my spot

@P_Dub Can you help us out here.

Dave Burch reports that the new Tides from Noaa via Xtides show just US tides now rather than around the world, however they are much more accurate. Some changes to Opencpn are needed however.

Please see https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/issues/2349

Is there any reasonable way of having other tides around the world available too? Is so which ones and how?

@P_dub and others, Please list any sources for good tidal data worldwide, also any tidal data sources that work with OpenCPN.

Re: harmonics data for current off by 1.5hours for my spot

Please note that stations around the world were removed on account that the guys doing the program did not want to get into trouble with some hydrographic offices.
As far as Warren is concerne, give me the exact position and I will take a look at it.
You have my email.

Re: harmonics data for current off by 1.5hours for my spot

Is there any reasonable way to provide harmonics for around the world with concatinated files from what sources?

Thinking of opencpn distribution here.
Otherwise Opencpn will eventually just have US stations.

Re: harmonics data for current off by 1.5hours for my spot

Yes there is a bundle of files, not covering the whole world, but a big chunk of it. Unfortunately, they were removed in order not to have problems with various Hydrographic Office. So, ask Dave why they were removed. Myself I have reduce the numberr of constituents to 67 on a world wide file with more than 4200 stations, not with offset, but I don't have the permission to offer it like you want.
Have a good day.
