HELP!

I don't consider myself a newby, but I'm not a comand line ninja...

Tonight I leave for a sail up the inside passage of AK and Opencpn is freaking out!! I bought a new laptop with win8 and installed O. worked well for a few days, then occationally it would scroll only in one direction, either restarting the computer or the program usually solved this. Now even from a fresh install O is completely unusable... only scrolling one way, usually very fast.

Nothing totally unusual in the log file...

This is a touch screen laptop, could it be a driver problem?

Help! I leave tonight!

Re: HELP!

Just installed O 3.2.2

exactly the same behavior. The more zoomed in you are, the faster it scrolls in the wrong direction. when zoomed way out(world map) panning/scrolling works just fine.

All charts work fine on an old vista machine...

Re: HELP!

Windows strikes again. I run navigation on a Macbook Pro with bootcamp and windows 7. Seems more stable than running on a pc.

Looks like a windows problem. Windows in "thinking" that your nmea stream comes from a serial mouse.
If this is the case you can try disable this mouse in the Device Manager. In my case it's called HID complicant mouse.

the real problem is that the touchscreen does the same thing when the mouse is doing it.

I am reduced to the arrow keys and the zoom icons
