including existing WP into existing Route

I have a number of routes between various ports all along the West Coast of N. America from the Bering Sea to the Sea of Cortez, using many independent visible dropped marks which I use when building new routes. As I modify routes for various reasons I find myself needing to include existing waypoint into an existing route which I am modifying. Typically these waypoints are referenced in other saved routes so I am reticent to delete them. Is there a forum thread for user questions such as this? Tks.
