Sorry, highjacking the thread. Trying to download for a not very computer litterate friend the second set of some charts on his tablet, I get an 'invalid system' red warning, and cannot assign the charts. The first set is fine and up to date on his computer. It went fine last year, so system name and fingerprint for the tablet must be fine. I feel like a fool, and may well be one...

Which type of system? OpenCPN and o-charts version?


That the install went well last year does not imply that the system has not changed it's "identify" over that time and the assigned system does not fit anymore. Due to some update of the OS, or resetting the OS for example.

The best way is to report directly to o-charts.org. Even if it is weekend and a reply might take some more time. But at least it will be seen and recorded.
