Just updated to v5.2.4 on mac - charts all gone!

Hi all,

I've clearly mucked up somehow, but I'm not sure how. I downloaded and installed the latest release on my mac and now none of the charts will show, update or install.

I can see they are all still there in the charts folder, however the chartloader tab asks for a refresh and then the app quits. Repeatedly.

Any hints?

Did you try to rebuild the chart data base?

Yeah - thanks. I've ended up removing the chart directories in the Chart Files tab and re-adding them, then forcing a rebuild. Still nothing. Then I removed the local path in Chart Downloader tab, re-added the same chart catalogues and then did an update all - took ages - then went back to the Chart Files tab, re-added the files, rebuilt and traaaalaaa! All back again.

It looks like there might be an indexing issues with the upgrade not 'seeing' the existing file paths? Dunno - not clever or technical enough to be much help to the debuggers!

Most probably some issue due to access rights. Happened in some of the latest versions of macOS. Where do your charts sit? (directory)

They're in the default directory path; user/documents/charts

Is it better to put them somewhere else?

May be a typo, but it should be read as:
/Users/your user name/Documents/Charts
and that is OK.
