Re: Launcher Plugin

Yes Mike thats a good technique. It is required by the Indexmenu plugin which sorts namespaces first rather than interleaving namespaces and single pages, so the workaround is to add a blank page and lable it "This page left blank intentionaly"

Roel Thankyou, and Mike the same for explaning.

Re: Launcher Plugin

To upload a photo or screenshoot is quite easy, use Media Manager in the drop down icon at top right. Pick media manager, Then select the directory for the photos ( manual for user manual) let it load then pick upload and brose to the file,,,

Then youll want to insert that photo into the page contents, you can write an image link like this -darn cell phone, no squiggly bracket, anyway two left of those then opencpn:manual:your filename then two closed squiggly brackets
If you want it centered leave spaces left and right btwn the end squiggly brackets.

Re: Launcher Plugin

Hello all,

I think I'm ready with the Launcher-pi documentation now. But I am on Windows 7 only and have no Linus. So if there is need to add examples of Linus-commands for Launcher maybe someone who's a bit more "Linuxy" can give a hand?

Re: Launcher Plugin

Launcher_pi 1.1 - compiles in standalone configuration but remember to copy the necessary opencpn-buildwin.zip dll & directories to source\buildwin.

Launcher 1.1 has some nice new functionality Readme in github main repository

##Variable substitution

You can use several variables in your commands which will be replaced with the actual values at the moment of command invocation

| Variable | Meaning |
| -------- | ------- |
| %BOAT_LAT% | Boat Latitude |
| %BOAT_LON% | Boat longitude |
| %BOAT_SOG% | Boat SOG |
| %BOAT_COG% | Boat COG |
| %BOAT_VAR% | Magnetic variation |
| %BOAT_FIXTIME% | The timestamp of the past fix (seconds since 01/01/1970 UTC) |
| %BOAT_NSATS% | Number of satelites "visible" during the last fix |

NOTE:
When using cmake -T v120_xp .. there is no message saying these are missing (extracted opencpn-buildwin.zip to source\buildwin) and no notice in the readme to do this. The plugin (and all other plugins) will complete fine and install, but will not run, and will probably prevent additional plugins from loading. - at cmake shouldn't there be a notice that the svg dlls are missing from buildwin?

Re: Launcher Plugin

We need some examples of the use of these variables for the User Manual.
Any ideas?

See Launcher_pi User Manual

Nevermind, I fixed it by setting Width and Height directly in opencpn.conf

Re: Launcher Plugin

Hi. Currently having to use OCPN on a tablet via VNC because my touchscreen took an early retirement!
I have found this plugin useful for using some of the Function commands in OCPN but I would like to use it for a couple of other OCPN Keyboard commands, particularly the ALT + and ALT - for fine zooming - i cannot work out how to make this work - does Launcher allow for use of ALT or CTRL commands?
Thanks

Re: Launcher Plugin

Hello all,
I have reinstalled OpenCPN with openplotter and now I can't find the launcher plugin.
It is no longer listed in the catalog and manually with apt-get does not work either.
Does anyone have an idea?
Greetings Lucky

Re: Launcher Plugin

I am experiencing this right now, OpenCPN 5.8.2, Plugin 1.3.4 on a RPi.
Editing the config does not help. The height always is reset to zero - lost ....

EDIT/DISREGARD
I am doing a config backup straight after exit of the main program (and using it on startup). Somehow this seems to start to early and not allowing to set the plugin size to be written in time.
So inserting a delay to that script helps. Just if anybody encounters something like this ...
