Layers folder in Lubuntu 18.04?

I have placed a folder named 'Layers' (with .gpx files) in the following location of Lubuntu:

/home/yachtvalhalla/.opencpn

It does not appear in the Route Manager Layers tab.

Where should it be?

In Linux create the directory: /home/$USER/.opencpn/layers

Aha! Had a capital case 'L' instead of lower case 'l'.
