Got it. Preferences in the Plugin Manager.
Always something new to learn.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hi Rick,

Just did an upgrade to latest version of Logbook from PIM on a Mac and it installs, but no icon in the toolbar. Logbook install isn't persistence over a shut-down and relaunch of OpenCPN.

Using OpenCPN 5.2.4+6b314e6 on Mac Catalina (both MacBook Pro & Mac mini).

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Steve,

I am sorry about that. I don't have a MacOS to test. We obviously have some more work to do. Will you help by testing for MacOs?

but right now I'm working on VDR.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Code:
09:37:39.704 MESSAGE pluginmanager.cpp:2232 PlugInManager: Loading PlugIn: /Users/Nereus/Library/Application Support/OpenCPN/Contents/PlugIns/libLogbookKonni_pi.dylib

  Referenced from: /usr/local/lib/libwx_osx_cocoau_stc-3.1.dylib
  Reason: image not found
09:37:39.988 MESSAGE pluginmanager.cpp:2291 PlugInManager: Cannot load library: /Users/Nereus/Library/Application Support/OpenCPN/Contents/PlugIns/libLogbookKonni_pi.dylib
For some reason the logbook pulls in libraries from /usr/local instead of the ones provided in the OpenCPN application bundle which it is linked against and libpng is missing there.

Whichever way you managed to install wxWidgets to /usr/local, it seems broken. If you don't do any development, you can probably simply remove wxWidgets from /usr/local and you will be good. Or you can of course fix it by actually installing the missing libpng dependency.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Does the plugin need some change, like including libpng in the plugin?

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Ref .png, it is an imagehandler problem on the Mac.

Look at how the .png is handled on ShipDriver (thanks Alec).

Mike

Mike I did a search on libpng and png on shipdriver and I found one reference in README.md

"The software contains open-source licensed files under different licenses
including Expat and Libpng. See the source files for details."

So there is no example to look at. It must have been edited out..

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

libpng is a dependency of wxWidgets, and in this case a wrong wx library is pulled in with this dependency broken. It is a probelm on the user's system, not in the plugin itself.

So delete the wx libraries (there are multiple) and reinstall OpenCPN from scratch? For just delete all that are less than the most current?
