Mac OS 10.13.6

Have installed OpenCPR5.6.0 on a MacPowerbook with OS 11.6.4, added the plugin and downloaded maps. Works well.Don't want to take this sailing and have tried to download Open CPR to an older MacAir running OS 10.13.6. Added the plugin and can't get it to download maps. Opening in safe mode no help. Have tried to down load OpenCPR 3.2.2 but can't find on their website. Is this Mac too old to consider?

Re: Mac OS 10.13.6

Obviously you got a fake? There is no OpenCPR but only a software called OpenCPN. You will find it at: https://www.opencpn.org/

DJMK....
Are you referring to the o-charts plugin?

Thanks

Re: Mac OS 10.13.6

Dave. Thanks.
I don't think so. Possibly the combination of OpenCPN with the plugin is too much for the earlier version of the MacOS. I can down load the OpenCPN and the plugin loads. I have purchased a map and have downloaded it on a higher spec MAC. When I attempt to download it into the MacAir I am asked to log in with a user name and password. When I enter these the system freezes. I then open in safe mode and the same sequence.

Yes, the plug in is the o-charts plug in.

Re: Mac OS 10.13.6

Danny,

with macOS 10.x, there surfaced an error in core OpenCPN when using the o-charts plug-in. The bug is identified and the solution clear.

It has to be addressed in OpenCPN and that will happen with the next release 5.6.2
In the meantime two options
- use the upcoming beta of 5.6.2 (in the next days)
- upgrade your Mac to macOS 11.x (Monterey)
(- or third, wait until 5.6.2 gets released)

Re: Mac OS 10.13.6

Hubert
Many thanks for clarifying.

I am reasonably sure the the Mac Air will not take any further upgrades of the Mac OS.
Will try out the beta version when it is available.
