Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

This is a new plugin added to PIM autotrackraymarine 0.3.4.13 it is by Douwe Fokkema. It is just configured for windows, but we would like find someone willing to modify it to work in Linux and MacOS. The current code is in my repository, but I am going to make a PR back to Douwe shortly.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Tactics is done and ready to enter PIM. That is the last plugin I need rebuild for MacOS, except for VDR_pi which I will do when SD is finished with an update.

amajori, please understand that I have no way of understanding what the exact problem is other than your description of what happens, illuminating screen shots that you attach, and your opencpn.log. I may be able to help fix this, but need to know more

PS: Many thanks to bdbcat for all his help getting this done.

the crash on Climatology plugin often occurs when I select the month or day (red arrows) and less often with the slidebar (green arrow)

I attach the crash log with Climatology but I think you can't find anything as it was unable to insert the error

This is not the crash log but the usual OpenCPN log.
To find the crash files, you can run Console app which will display all the system messages. If any specific application crashed, look in User Reports. If it's system crash, check in System Reports. Once you have found the crash file, you can Reveal in Finder (usually located in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports).

Why you don't like to follow my advise above?
The file you will find there have the file extension *.crash but are plain ascii to be used by any ascii editor.

Thank you.
So it seems it is the DateTime function which results into the crash as reported by other users and other plugins too. Often the reason is the use of wrong data types in the code. When using the Apple compiler Xcode such errors are already seen during compile time.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

@amajori note that I have "hidden" carcode permanently for good reasons and will not be unhiding this user. Therefore I cannot help you with this and am not going to do anything with climatology to fix this. All I can assume is that is your problem not Climatology.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Rick...
I confirm the crash on date adjuster slider.
I have posted a PR to climatology correcting this.

After you bump the version and merge, I'll import and test again.

Tested 1.4.39 by import from Cloudsmith. Seems OK, no crash. Ready for catalog.

Thanks
