Man Overboard? - Help please

I have accidentally hit the man overboard icon and now have a spot so identified on the chart. How do I remove it?

Roniszoro...
The MOB waypoints are protected against accidental deletion. Open the properties of the waypoint, change the type to be anything else and you will be able to delete it.

I go to properties and then basic and change the Icon to "empty" and whip out the lat and long so there is nothing there and hit OK, but nothing changes. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for your help.

This is not how it works to delete a WPT. Just change the icon to something (anything) else than MOB, hit OK, then delete the waypoint as you would do with any other. Whipping lat/lon, whatever it is, is not necessary.

Re: Man Overboard? - Help please

Bump!

I have the same problem. Win 10. CPN 4.4.0
I change the icon and it seems to put a new something over top the MOB mark. I right click, click delete and the icon I changed it to goes away, but the MOB point is still there. Right click on MOB again except there is no delete this time. For giggles, I tried to add range rings to the MOB. It will not let me do those either.

OK, I figured it out.
You can not right click on it to delete it. You have to go to the "Route and Mark Manager" and delete it there.
