mmsitoname.csv - same mmsi multiple times

I just noticed when checking mmsitoname.csv that the same mmsi/vessel appear several times in the file. Is this a bug or intention ?

Where does this text come from?
mmsitoname.csv is usually only a comma separated list of MMSI numbers and ship names, nothing else. Could you open the file with a simple ascii editor?

Petter,

did you run a sort on the file entries?

In case: if a vessel appears a second time with the same MMSI but a slightly different or garbled name due to reception or transmission errors it will be listed again with a message of "MISMATCH".
When it appears another time afterwards with the correct name it will show up another time in the list. With "Mismatch" again.

Hi. I opened the csv file with mousepad (ubuntu) The strange format in the post above is due to this forum " formatting the text. I just opened the plain file without any sorting, see example under:
