Need help linux mint 20 and opencpn 5.2.4

Hi all
I built the current master branch as I have done for a long time:
make then make package.
I got the deb package without any problem but when I tried to install it I got this message:

x86_64' is not a valid architecture name in 'Architecture' field: caractère « _ » non autorisé (seuls les lettres, les chiffres et « - » le sont)
dpkg: erreur de traitement de l'archive opencpn_5.2.0-1_x86_64.deb (--install) :
l'architecture du paquet (x86_64) ne correspond pas à celle du système (amd64)
Des erreurs ont été rencontrées pendant l'exécution :
opencpn_5.2.0-1_x86_64.deb

Do you know what happen I what I can do for that
Thanks
JP

indeed. very strange.
Arch must be amd64. Not x86_64
Don't know, how you build your DEB package

Correction:
The problem occurs only on the branch "master" ( and the result is style 5.2.0 package witch I can't install)

If I build the branch 5.2.x everything's OK
in this case my package is opencpn_5.2.4-1_x86_64.deb and I can Install it without problem

JP...
As usual, when a Beta test is not active, then the "master" branch is is a "work-in-progress", and may have numerous problems building and loading.
Branch "v5.2.x" is the current production release, and is recommended for all users.

Thanks
Dave

Re: Need help linux mint 20 and opencpn 5.2.4

maybe not best place for this, I am thinking mint is best newbie version of Linux when you are sick of windows. Trying to figure out PPA download of opencpn and can't even find the link to download: Cosmic, disco, trusty, ???. What the? Is mint too "out there" for this?
Should I do flatpack on whatever linux that works on?
I have a NUC 10i7 which will be the boat desktop with Open; Office, cad, sdr, media, etc.
I guess what I am asking is a PPA distro too complicated for a newbie. What would be a good combo of Linux for opencpn?
I hate windows that much.

I'm running a NUC8i3 on the boat. Debian 10 and OpenPlotter.
OpenPlotter contains OCPN and makes it quite simple to connect to boat networks (NMEA0183, N2K, SK, ..).
You can also go for Ubuntu or derivatives like Lubuntu.

Re: Need help linux mint 20 and opencpn 5.2.4

I played with "sailingoog" a few years ago on a pi3. Openplotter has everything I want, so will go that route. Side question: I need to get a 12v tv for the HDMI and a keyboard/mouse I like doesn't.list Linux as Bering supported. It's Bluetooth and wifi USB dongle. Linux should see any Bluetooth I would think. I am also checking their support.
Want tv for HDTV capability. Tv manuf seem to be dropping AC to DC power brick, so that trick is gone. What is your set up?

The NUC takes 12V.
Logitech K380 BT keyboard and MX Ergo mouse. Both holding in place with magnets. Allows easy take away and storing.

Monitor: Faytech FT156TMBCAP (15,6", touch, IP65, 12V, HDMI).
