The key issue now is how to get the Raspberry Pi to create a WiFi network. I can get it to join a network but can't work out how to get it to be the WiFi network so I can connect tablets etc to it. Any thoughts?

Also I notice that with the CPN RPi version the hostapd.conf file is overwritten at each boot. I'm guessing that this is likely the issue.

Two questions. (1) What happened to the picture of the motorboat at OpenCPN Official Site If we're just going to have white space maybe the text at the bottom of the page could be moved up so it is visible without scrolling.

(2) On Beta Testing the word "Icon" appears several times (each time there's a secton about a new platform). Shouldn't an actual icon appear there instead?

https://www.opencpn.org/index.html after a little while the graphics are downloaded and show. Perhaps the image can be optimized a little, and I will try to do that and give Kathi a faster image. Also there are plans to add some photos of sailboats and other user's boats in some way. I think that was an idea being discussed.

I seem to get the icons just fine. I wonder if there is some way to speed this up a bit. I don't believe the icons are very large...

I tried leaving the pages open for several minutes and I tried reloading the pages. Still no change and Firefox indicates the pages have finished downloading. Behavior is the same with Windows 10 or Ubuntu 14.04, Firefox 15.0.1.
