NEWBee Opencpn ? / Pi 4 Display types??

Greetings-
Decided to venture into the Opencpn Pi4 multiverse & have some general questions about types of cabin located displays. Do people favor mouse input + keyboard or touchscreen? Would like something 12" or so for tired eyes preferably w/touchscreen. Any comments or hardware recommendations appreciated.

thanks,
LouK

I prefere both. Keyboard with pad for settings etc and touchscreen voor chart movements.

I'am using a Logitech (usb) wireless keyboard with a pad type K400r. Works very well.

Re: NEWBee Opencpn ? / Pi 4 Display types??

I use an old 19" LCD DVI monitor (requires an HDMI converter) at the nav station and a second 20" HDMI TV on the bulkhead. The TV is further away but easier to see from the cockpit when I am running Signal K. The TV doubles as a movie screen at anchor. I use a cheap Bluetooth mini keyboard with an integrated trackpad for input . I also have a mid-size BT keyboard that I thought might be useful, but I never touch. Sometimes I wish I had a trad mouse and might add one next season.

I have two wifi adapters on the Pi. One to receive the NMEA data from a YD adapter on my AP. One to broadcast the data to a tablet in the cockpit, and whatever phones are connected. Tablet and phones run Navionics, providing some redundancy vs OpenCpn.

AIS data comes in from the radio via a serial to USB adapter.
