No GPS status even with navigation.gnss.satellitesInView message

Hi,

I'm using OpenCPN (5.2.4) with OpenPlotter2 on a Pi4.

I have an USB GPS connected to my PI.
I configured the GPS, and OpenCPN receives Position and GPS In View.

GPS Data like all other message are received in OpenCPN with SignalK.

They are both displayed in the dashboard.

My GPS sent GPGSV message:
Code:
$GPGSV,3,1,12,04,79,150,18,09,47,215,24,19,38,269,36,01,30,143,40*7E
$GPGSV,3,2,12,21,13,144,35,17,36,253,30,36,31,147,43,23,80,128,*79
$GPGSV,3,3,12,03,28,083,,07,10,162,,11,10,163,,22,09,092,*7C

They are converted in signalK, I can trace the message with node red:
Code:
navigation.gnss.satellitesInView : msg.payload : Object
object
count: 12
satellites: array[12]
[0 … 9]
0: object
id: 4
elevation: 1.1519173065792743
azimuth: 1.012290966387847
SNR: 18
1: object
2: object
3: object
4: object
5: object
6: object
7: object
8: object
9: object
[10 … 11]

How can this data be displayed in OpenCPN ?

Thanks for your help,
Philippe

Philippe..
The "navigation.gnss.satellitesInView" i.e. parsing of the NMEA0183 GSV message in SignalK is quit new. That SK update is not reflected in OpenCPN 5.2.4. Code for that is present in O GitHub master branch and will be included in next OCPN update release.

Re: No GPS status even with navigation.gnss.satellitesInView message

BTW:
The only way to see it now is to use a TCP connection to SK instead of a SignalK connection. But if you then lose other data from SK it's not a good advice,
