No Network tabs showing to add connection

Hi, running ver CPN 4.8.8 on a Mac 10.13.6 High Sierra

I can add serial connections ok.

When I try to add a network connection I do not see the tabs/ boxes to enter IP PORT PROTOCOL as I have seen on Manual or U Tube videos. I can see a list of these on a grey field with no boxes.

Anyone else seen a way round this?

I am trying to use a Quark 027 which works OK on USB serial connection but I an after the wireless connection ( I know the Quark IP settings , just have no where to input these where they should go).

I downloaded OpenCPN again and re installed with the same result.

Re: No Network tabs showing to add connection

Try expanding the window. On my installation when you do the same thing there are no boxes, they are way off to the right beyond the edge of the dialog box. Grab the dialog handles, extend the width, and suddenly the boxes will appear (at least they do on mine).

[Edit] As an aside, my installation of 4.8.8 showing the same behavior is on Linux. And this behavior is new, didn't used to be that. On experimentation (I also have 4.8.4 available) it seems that between 4.8.4 and 4.8.8 the default box sizes for input and output filtering got expanded. And the boxes for IP address, port, etc. appear to be right justified and match the right side of the filtering box groups. So, since the filtering boxes are larger the right justification to match the filtering box groups moves the IP/port boxes off the edge of the default dialog box size.[/edit]
