Re: O5 Linux in Ubuntu 18.04LTS for Windows10

Quick update > WSL2 is now available. Took forever to load though, you need to have the latest insider windows update - took most of a day to download and install. But up and running now. A big advantage is looks like docker will be available soon. Not that I know much about docker but does look like a much easier way to get progs running. Like Signalk

Thanks Conachair.

It means an an upgrade to a new insider Windows version, complete new install of WSL2. It also has a linux kernal, has better networking, may be faster, runs Windows Docker and runs in a VM, but there may be mixed reviews and issues. I am not sure about how stable or tested it is. The reviews are interesting, but I will stick with TDan's setup for now and let it come down to me.

It will work it's way to the stable release soon no doubt, IP addresses are different for win/linux as well so far but 'localhost' is on the way. Docker installed OK , the signalk container took a good few hours to download & can't get the IP address to work in windows chrome either! Little baby steps
