OCN crash with launcher_pi

Hello,

On my test PC, OCN 5 crashed. (Lenovo iCore5, win10, opencpn 5.0)

I guess this is a conflict with some plugins (see the attached file opencpn.log) and I uninstalled launcher_pi.
Since, OCN starts again correctly.

What is the problem with this plugin launcher (launcher_pi-1.2-ov50-win32.exe) and what's the matter with the two other plugins, dashboard_pi and grib_pi ?

Re: OCN crash with launcher_pi

There is no problem shown in your logfile.
Make sure you use the current version of the plugin from https://github.com/nohal/launcher_pi...ov50-win32.exe

Re: OCN crash with launcher_pi

Hello,

Thank you for that answer, but ....

This morning, I launched OpenCPN which opened without any problem (the launcher plugin was not installed).

To avoid any doubt (because the name is the same), I downloaded again the plugin by following your link.
After installing the plugin launcher, I launched again OpenCPN which crashes again ...

As an attachment, the log file:
- start at 10:19:50: 2019-05-30 without the plugin installed, no problem;
- start at 10:22:13: 2019-05-30, then at 10:22:29: 2019-05-30 and OpenCPN closes immediately ...

And there again is nothing interesting in your logfile.
Now that we are sure you have the correct version of the plugin with the known Windows related problems fixed, may you post your configuration file as well, please?

Re: OCN crash with launcher_pi

The crash was caused by missing value for the command to be launched. https://github.com/nohal/launcher_pi...ov50-win32.exe is more robust while reading the settings back from the configuration file and in case of a missing value creates a dummy nonsense allowing you to fix it later.
