OCPN floods Ubuntu system log file

I have been using OCPN for some time and after the first long cruise I am very satisfied. My thanks to all who constantly develop it further. But it has also become apparent that I still have to make some adjustments and optimizations.
My system looks like this:
1. One Raspberry Pi4, OS buster running SignalK 1.40.0. This is the centre where all signals from NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 and I²C are coming in.
2. another Raspberry Pi running OCPN 5.2.4 and others.
3. an Intel NUC, OS Ubuntu 20.04 also running OCPN 5.2.4.
All computers are connected via Ethernet cable and OCPN is set to receive data via SignalK server. When touring for a few hours everything worked fine, only when OCPN ran longer I got messages from Ubuntu that the hard disk memory was full. The investigation revealed that apparently OCPN writes the entire SignalK data stream to the Ubuntu "syslog". This reaches about 20 GB over 24 hours.

In the log file of OCPN I could not find anything conspicuous. What can I do to stop OCPN from writing to the "syslog"?

Many thanks in advance

JoHo...
Are you running with any plugins activated?
If so, please deactivate all plugins, and check the logging again. This will help us isolate the offending module.
Thanks
Dave

Yes, I have some plug ins running. I will disable all of them and see if the error still occurs. If no, then I will turn them on again in order. Let's see what happens.
Thank you. I will get back to you.

Re: OCPN floods Ubuntu system log file

Dave,

Found it. The error was caused by OCPN Draw 1.8. After deactivation no more NMEA data arrived in the "syslog" file.

Thanks a lot.
