Re: Open cpn

scuba...

OpenCPN uses mainly the GPRMC message. And yours looks a little suspect.

I see "-82-14.433" in the stream. Not correct.
But this could be an artifact of the display program.

As recommended elsewhere, please show the OpenCPN NMEA debug window, so that we can see the exact sentences received by OCPN.

And, if it is not obvious, please try all this outdoors, with a clear view of the sky, so that we can eliminate that variable from consideration.

Re: Open cpn

It's exactly the same under Android.

From the tool bar click on the wrench symbol opening the Options

Re: Open cpn

The debug window works on android.

From the options (click wrench on toolbar) then "Connections" tab. Now check the debug window, and hit "cancel" to close the options

Re: Open cpn

That's the one.

If you put the screen in landscape mode to show the complete NMEA sentence?

Re: Open cpn

there is no question the gui has a lot of problems on android.. try rotating the screen 90 degrees to make it landscape, and perhaps we can read the full nmea sentence that is truncated here.

I can fix all of this and so could dave, but we just don't have the time. Everything has to be rewritten for android gui.

So far I have built 17 plugins in the last week or so, and they sort of all work on android.

I try to attach apk if you remove the doc extension.
